- Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a type of hair transplant in which individual hair follicles are extracted homogeneously using a micromotor from the back of the head under local anesthesia, called the Donor Area, and moved to another area of the body where the hair is absent or thinner.
- FUE offers a less invasive and scar-free option than the traditional FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) method. However, as every patient is different, it is important to consult with a doctor to determine the most appropriate hair transplant method.
- FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) has a much faster recovery time than other traditional techniques such as FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) and adopts a minimally invasive approach, allowing patients to feel less discomfort and speeding up the healing process.
- In this method, doctors use small tools called Sapphire Blades to open the channels before placing hair follicles into bald areas, with hardly any signs of removal or insertion left behind.
- Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a widely preferred technique for hair transplantation and the use of sapphire blades has become increasingly popular in recent years.
- Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is very flexible and can be adapted to suit different needs. Whether it's dealing with male pattern baldness or restoring hair loss caused by scarring, FUE can be adjusted to suit each person's specific needs. The capability to work for different situations makes it the best choice for patients and doctors alike.
FUE with Sapphire Blades: Innovation in Technology:
While traditional FUE procedures mostly use metal or steel punches, sapphire blades have been a groundbreaking development in the hair transplant industry in recent years. Sapphire blades have specially designed sharp tips that increase surgical precision and provide more natural results.
Advantages of Sapphire Blades:
Sharper and More Durable
Natural and Aesthetic Results
Less Scarring and , Faster Recovery Time
Reducing the Risk of Infection
FUE hair transplantation with sapphire blades offers patients more natural, aesthetic and permanent results due to this step forward in technology. Being a sharper, more durable and more sterile option has made sapphire blades a preferred technology in the field of hair transplantation. This technological innovation offers a promising solution for those struggling with hair loss.
ADVANTAGES OF FUE (FOLLICULAR UNIT EXTRACTION):
·Minimal Scarring
·Versatility
·Quick Recovery
·Natural Results
·Less Discomfort
DISADVANTAGES OF FUE (FOLLICULAR UNIT EXTRACTION):
·Higher Cost
·Limited Donor Area
·Longer Procedure Time
The basic steps of FUE are as follows:
Anesthesia: Before local anesthesia, the scalp is painlessly numbed with small punches that blow air, reducing the pain of local anesthesia by up to 80%. After then, then the donor area and the recipient area are numbed with local anesthesia needles.
Extraction of Follicles: Hair follicles are extracted one by one from the donor area using micromotor.
Opening Channels: In the recipient area where the follicles will be transplanted, channels are opened with micro punches called Sapphire Blades.
Implantation: The prepared follicles are transplanted one by one to the recipient sites using microsurgical tools.
